How joining works

  1. Apply online with MSSNY

    Membership in the Medical Society of the County of Queens and the state society is one application. Make sure Queens County is listed as your county society.

  2. You're a member of both

    Your membership covers MSCQ and MSSNY, including the Society's advocacy, CME and events.

  3. Get involved

    Join a committee, write for The Bulletin, or come to the next meeting. Tell us your interest .

Common questions

Is MSCQ membership separate from MSSNY?

No. You join once, through MSSNY, and your membership includes the Medical Society of the County of Queens as your county society.

How much are dues?

Dues are set with MSSNY and depend on your membership type. You'll see the amount when you apply, or call MSSNY membership at 800.523.4405, ext. 336.

I'm a resident. Do I pay anything?

Your first year as an MSSNY/Queens County resident or fellow member is free, sponsored by MLMIC.

I'm a medical student. Is there anything for me?

Yes. A few resources the Society recommends: OnlineMedEd for study, the Merck Manual Professional, and loan-repayment programs from the AAMC and the Indian Health Service. When you start residency, your first year of membership is free.
